Troski days is back!!! This means that I’ve been getting my usual ‘lift’ these days. Today I’m sitting beside a mother of two: a baby and a toddler. The mother looks worked out! Every minute she’s like ‘hey stop, hey I’ll beat you’, etc. Of course it’s to the toddler. He looks very vibrant. He simply wants to play, but I’m sure his mother knows him too well. To her, all play and no calm makes my kid go wild.
But let’s talk about the baby for a minute, he’s just has this calm look, the very face of innocence, humility and beauty. He keeps staring at me and touching my hand sanitizer. Like ‘wow, what a lovely toy’. Très mignon (very cute). I learnt something from these two kids. That life is pretty simple, we complicate it. We give place to pride and fill our heart with things that blind our eye of gratitude.
These kids are living life and admiring the beauty of it. It may be a different story for the mom who is probably thinking of bills and school fees but I can bet she won’t trade her babies for anything in the world. The baby brought to mind virtues that makes life beautiful: humility, grace, forgiveness, hope. But there’s a need for a seed before the fruit. All these virtues are considered as the fruit. Christ is the seed that needs to be planted so deep so that these virtues will naturally flow. Christ himself is the beauty of life. The reason for our existence and the source of all hope. I could preach but I just want to talk about how beautiful life is when we focus on what’s important. I think the greatest teachers are kids. They provoke you to think and while at it, make you answer deep questions on your mind. I can say I’m in love with these kids. But the baby caught my heart. Because currently his tiny hands are clinged to my handbag. Maybe I could ask his mom if I can take him to work today.
Life is beautiful, enjoy it while it lasts. Be Grace-ful, give love, be humble enough to learn and grow, Be you! But when you have Christ, it’s easier.
