Anyway I was reading posts on tumblr as usual one night and this post excited me and made me burst out into laughter… It was accurate. It said if you pray to God about one issue. He would come to your rescue on that issue but once He’s in “He gives you the full treatment” and as Christians He cautions us to count the cost before we let Him in because…. wait for it!! He’d make us perfect!!! I don’t know if you get it but God warns us that we should be sure what we are getting ourselves into because once we give Him the chance, He will correct all the other things. Doesn’t that excite you?
Let me give you a scenario, which the girls would understand more than the guys. It’s like you tell your ‘salon lady’ you want a pedicure right? Just a pedicure, so yeah she does that! But then right after she looks at your fingernails and gives you a manicure, she sees your eyebrows are outgrown and shapes that too, she notices your hair is messed up works on that, she notices you are tensed and she adds a full body massage all for the price of the pedicure. Lol, how awesome could that be!
Well, God wants to tell you today that He’s that salon lady. Well, not exactly. He’s richer and more powerful and perfect! But you get what I’m trying to say… God is saying once you let Him in, brace yourself! You think you called Him in for just your addiction but He’d fix your anger issues, your money spending issues, and your fear issues. God says brace yourself because once you let Him in, HE WOULD PERFECT YOU. He’s going to rip off your torn and tattered clothing and give you a crown of life and of Glory. I mean I don’t know about you but one of my favourite things in life is buy one get one free (lol). This one too the ‘buy one’ is not even your burden because Jesus already paid the price so your duty is to acknowledge Christ for the price He paid, make Him lord and He’d perfect you! That simple!!!
Remember the woman with the blood issue of 12 years (The story can be found in Matthew 9:18- 26, Mark 5: 21- 43, Luke 8: 40 -56). Jesus said to her after she was healed ‘ daughter, be of good comfort, thy faith hath made thee WHOLE’. That stood out to me. He didn’t say her faith has healed her but has made her WHOLE. He restored her entirely. He didn’t just heal her from the blood. He saved her from spending more money to correct it; he cleansed her pain and her shame. When you encounter the Father, He comes in and does more than you expect from Him. He corrects everything else bothering you.
I’d like to believe that we haven’t seized this mind-blowing chance because to us it seems like it’s too good to be true. God wants me to tell you today that, that’s all He deals with, things that are ‘too good to be true”. What does Ephesians 3:20 say?
“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us”
Well for me, abundantly above all that we think is amazing because it means your mind cannot even build up a thought to how much that is worth. I don’t know if you’ve grasped what that means. You are thinking oh I want to be known all over the nations, God is saying you would be known all over the Universe… You say a million, He says multiply by infinity. That’s whom we are dealing with. I know sometimes I forget. Sometimes I think I’m dealing with a powerful man but NO!!! Earth’s most powerful being cannot match up to us as Christians how much more the Creator of us!!
So rise up! Stop living by the standards of men, stop caring about what the world thinks, a friend told me that this morning and I’m glad because it confirms what God wanted me to tell you. That if you live only by His standards and according to His will… If you let Him in, He’d perfect you. Amen.
“Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ”
