“ Living your best life isn’t in the abundance of things but in your walk to destiny because there, God provides abundantly and gifts you with fulfillment. ”
As a believer, you have to come to the understanding quickly that, living your best life isn’t straightforward like the world presents it. It’s not just trips to Maui & Bali and spa dates, catching flights & feelings, going online and selecting ‘price : high to low’ hehehe all those things are nice!!! Trust me, I could really do with a day at a spa or a 2 week getaway so no I’m not saying those things aren’t nice or that it’s anti-God o! Lol
I’m however saying that as believers, we have a different definition of living your best life is or well we should! Living your best life I’m learning is facing your fears, it’s acknowledging the ugliness in your heart, it’s confronting your ‘demons’. Living your best life is learning to repent and apologize. It’s in learning to forgive and let go. It’s in extending to others the love Christ has extended unto us. Living your best life should be your walk into purpose; into destiny.
Any activity that brings you closer to the image of Christ, that brings you a step further into destiny, that propels you further into your course in this race we are in… that’s living your best life. It won’t always be bubble baths and pedicures but it’s necessary for your advancement in life. Living your best life is living in the Will of God… periodttt!!!!!
The ONLY place in life where you will be fulfilled is in the Will of God
My dad would say fulfillment is the gift God gives you when you walk in purpose. When your your potential knows purpose, satisfaction is born (see what I did there? Hehe). Living your best life as a believer does include abundance of things but that should not be our focus. Scripture says “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and ALL these things shall be added unto you.” -‘ Matthew 6:33 Why??? Because the Father knoweth you have need of all these things – Matthew 6:32
I was talking to one of my little girls yesterday and she said something that made me laugh. She said the Christian walk ‘3ny3 easy but 3y3 f3’ ( it’s not easy but it’s beautiful- but I read it as glorious). Living your best life in Christ is different and may even seem hard but it is GLORIOUS, so glorious that you naturally even glow. Trust me, your favourite skin care routine coulda neverrr lol When you live in Christ, He not only gives you the things you need but He throws in some freebies you could have NEVER afforded. He gives you peace, one that surpasses any understanding. He gives you Hope! He gives you joy! He gives you favour! He gives you blessings and adds no sorrow. He gives you things the world coulda never (sorry, I just want to use that term all over this post tbh hehe)
So yeah, it’s nice to catch flights, have your passport tattooed with all the stamps from the places you’ve been. It’s nice to drive a nice car, have lunch with the big kids at those fancy places and feel like you are living your best lives but it’s better… ohhhh it’s better to be in the Will of God because truly, that’s where all the jams are! Darlings, remember that it’s ONLY in the Will of God we are fulfilled. Living your best life isn’t in the abundance of things but in the quality of life found in Christ. Until tomorrow, stay blessed.
