The August Crusader refers to a distinguished warrior. Distinguished not because of her deeds or words, not based on the identity she’s built for herself, not because she worked for it or earned it but because of her identity in Christ. Distinguished because she has the privilege to be called a child of the most high. She’s a Holy Spirit filled warrior princess of the Almighty.
A warrior of Christ’s love! She’s here to fight for the love of Christ to be made manifest and reign amongst believers and extend it to the world. She is a lover of Christ who is clearly far from perfection or absolute sanctification, but has decided to surrender her will and her life wholly to Jesus Christ without question.
This blog was made for us to have a platform to share, to learn, to love, to connect and to grow. A place to encourage others and be encouraged. We work so hard on covering up our insecurities or shortcomings and our ‘ugliness’. We live in fear of being discovered, of our ‘insecurity blankets’ being stripped away. We cover up with so many worldly exalted things, be it our intelligence, our good looks, our humour, our background or even our social status
This blog was made to encourage you to want to be naked and unashamed!! To be seen completely by God and still know you are accepted and loved.
To want to be honest about our sins and unashamed to admit we’ve made mistakes, unashamed to say we need help. No more condemnation, no more justifications… no more FIG LEAVES!
To want to be used by Him, to know we have an eternal divine covering that beats what the world has to offer.
But to be honest Are you really “naked” when you have nothing to hide?
Come just as you are and let’s experience Christ together. Let me be real for a second… I don’t even know in full what direction or format the august crusader would take. I’m just moving as the Spirit leads but I know that the posts on here wont always bring any of us comfort, sometimes it would challenge our thinking and break down some worldly mentalities. I ask one thing of you, that you come on here with an expectation to be blessed. I invite you to join me discover Christ and ourselves through Him as we walk on this Christian journey.
